Bass tuned to your car

A car cabin boosts low bass, and every model does it differently. Right now the calculator estimates this from the body type, but real cars differ from that estimate by 3–6 dB at some frequencies. Soon it will use real measurements from owners of your model.

How it will work

  1. Pick your car and where the sub goes: trunk, cabin, under the seat.
  2. If your model has already been measured, the response graphs will show the bass in your actual cabin, labeled “from owners’ measurements”.
  3. Already have a sub installed? Measure your cabin with your phone in a couple of minutes: play noise on the head unit, hold the phone to the sub, then at the driver’s seat.

What you get for a measurement

In the meantime

Pick the body type and sub location in the calculator — cabin gain is already in the graphs. Popular models have ready-made guides.

A phone measurement shows the shape of the cabin curve, not the exact loudness: no mic calibration is needed because two measurements from the same phone are compared.
